Family Culture That Fits
Guido's is a family-owned business that built a family-oriented culture. You will feel it the first time you walk in.
How Family Martial Arts Works at Our Clovis Dojo.
Family training at Guido's means everyone in your household has their own class and their own progression. Your 4-year-old trains in Little Ninjas. Your 9-year-old trains in Juniors MMA or Juniors BJJ. You train in Teen and Adult MMA or BJJ. The classes are separate. The dojo is shared. The growth happens together.
This is not a single combined class for parents and kids. It is a roster of age-appropriate programs designed so every family member trains at the right intensity, with the right techniques, at the right pace. Each program runs on its own schedule. Many families coordinate so that everyone is on the mat during the same evening or Saturday morning, which makes the academy feel like a shared family activity even though each member trains separately.
Family Martial Arts Classes That Fit a Busy Clovis Schedule.
How Family Nights Work
Most family evenings at Guido's stack age groups back to back so one trip to the academy covers multiple classes. Your 3-year-old's Little Ninjas class might run first, your 9-year-old's Juniors class right after, and the adult class for parents afterwards. The exact times shift through the year. Check our full schedule for the current weekly view, or call (559) 477-2053 and we will tell you which nights line up for your family.
Train at the Same Place. Same Night.
Many families coordinate class times so the whole family is at the dojo on the same evening. One drive in, multiple classes, one drive home. Bring the family. Stagger your classes.
The Family Behind the Dojo.
Guido's is family-owned and family-run. The leadership team built the academy around a culture you will feel the first time you walk in.

Everything Families Ask Before Signing Up Together.
How young can a kid be in our family lineup?
Children age 3 and up can train at Guido's. Our youngest students start in Little Ninjas (ages 3 to 4), then move into Big Ninjas (5 to 6), then Juniors MMA or Juniors BJJ (7 to 12), then Teen and Adult MMA or BJJ from 13 and up. Every age has its own class.
Can my teen and I train at the same Clovis martial arts dojo?
Yes. Teens train in Teen and Adult MMA or BJJ from age 13. Parents train in the same Teen and Adult programs at our Clovis dojo. You will be on the same mat, often in the same class.
What if I have never trained before?
No prior training is required. Beginners are welcome in every adult program at Guido's. Instructors meet each student at their current level.
Does the whole family train together in the same class?
Not the same class at the same age. Each family member trains in their age-appropriate program. Your 4-year-old is in Little Ninjas. Your 9-year-old is in Juniors. You are in Teen and Adult. The classes are separate. The dojo is shared.
Do we have to come at the same time?
No, but many families schedule classes on the same evening so the whole family is at the dojo together. The academy runs back-to-back age blocks on most weeknights, which makes it easy to coordinate. Call us at (559) 477-2053 and we will walk through which evenings line up cleanest for your family.
What do we wear?
Comfortable athletic clothes for your trial. Training happens barefoot on the mat. Free Guido's t-shirt included with every trial. If you decide to continue, we will walk you through what to buy for each program.
Is sparring required?
No. Sparring and live training are introduced only when a student is ready. Most family members never spar unless they choose to.
Do you offer family pricing for martial arts in Clovis?
Yes. We work with Clovis families of every shape and size and we will build a plan that fits. Family pricing is best discussed in person or by phone so we can match it to the programs each member is enrolled in. Call us at (559) 477-2053 or ask at the front desk on your trial visit.
Can grandparents train too?
Yes. Grandparents are welcome in Teen and Adult programs. We will set the right starting point during the trial.
How does the one-week trial work for families?
Each family member who wants to train books their own trial. The $59 trial is per person and covers one full week of classes plus a free Guido's t-shirt. Family pricing for continued membership is available, ask about it during your end-of-trial conversation.
